Can I ride during the race?

Yes. Many of our Tour de France tours include official closed-road riding, just hours ahead of the pros.

What is the fitness level required for this journey?

This journey is designed to accommodate various fitness levels. While some cycling is included, it's optional and can be tailored to your abilities. Support vehicles are always available. For those who wish to tackle the climbs, we recommend some training before the trip.

We recommend comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather, sunscreen, a hat, and your camera. All food, drinks, and official merchandise are provided, so you can travel light.

The Tour de France does not start in Great Britain often.

In 2027, the race opens in Edinburgh before moving through Carlisle, Liverpool and Cardiff across three British stages, then crosses to France. It is the first time the Tour has visited Great Britain since 2014.

For fans, riders and private groups, this is the moment to get on the list early. The best hotel access, hospitality options and hosted places will move before the full public programme is widely promoted.

Edinburgh to Cardiff. Three stages before France.

The Grand Départ is confirmed for Edinburgh on 2 July 2027.

The race moves south through the Scottish borders and northern England before reaching Liverpool, then heads west into Wales and finishes the British stages in Cardiff.

Three stages means three days of live racing on home roads, with the full weight of the Tour de France caravan and global broadcast behind it. Mummu will build experiences around the start, along the stages, and at the crossover to France. Exact route details, stage profiles and timetables will be confirmed by ASO in the coming months.

We work directly with ASO, the race organiser, which gives our guests access that is not available through general ticket sales or third party packages.

The 2027 programme will take shape as details are confirmed. It is likely to span official hospitality at start and finish villages, hosted journeys that follow the race with expert guides, ride experiences on closed roads alongside the route, and private options for groups travelling together. Small group sizes, typically 12 to 20 guests.
