The 2025 Tour de France marks the 112th edition of cycling's most prestigious race, returning to its traditional 3-week format with 21 stages and two crucial rest days. Starting July 5th in Lille and concluding July 27th on the Champs-Élysées, this year's route promises to be one of the most challenging yet.
Key dates to remember: Stage 9 (July 13) features the first mountain stage in the Vosges, while the crucial Alpine stages begin on July 19. The final time trial on Stage 20 could decide the overall winner before the ceremonial finish in Paris. With only two rest days, recovery will be at a premium for the 176 riders who take the start.
